Corina & Dan's Wedding

What an awesome opportunity I had! I get to photograph Corina & Pastor Dan's BIG day!
It was traditional & beautiful! I appreciate weddings and It's fun seeing people smiling on their
stressful day. It's very inspiring.

I love the way I edited these images. It kind of gave it a little drama to it! See, the thing about editing,
you have to own it and love it! OF COURSE I LOVE IT! I'm sure it's not everybody's taste but to
be able to come up with a new recipe makes me happy =D

I remember the first time we had the location first look, the bride wanted to have a photo session
outside because she wanted trees on the background. But I told her, that I don't think it is possible
because her wedding is at night. But when I had a chance to look around after the ceremony, I saw
a perfect location that has indoor trees! But ehem.. I didn't know it was a restricted area

We're all walking away and I'm so so happy I captured these ladies while walking back to the
reception area. What happened was, I didn't know that building wasn't part of marriot hotel. It
was from a different company. Dania (the bridemaid) told me that there's a security and they want
us out! hahaha I told the bridal party, "IT'S OK! LET'S TAKE A RISK FOR PICTURE SAKE!"
The image above this image was a restricted area. The bridal party was so ready to walk
away but i stopped them because it was the only area where it has better view. We can't go out first
of, I don't have better equipment for night outdoor shooting. And once you get out of the building,
all they have is a parking lot lol

These boys are my favorite! In fact, it was my favorite photo that night! While waiting on the bride
and the groom, I had this quick idea! I couldn't put everybody together because they're all busy and
waiting for the program. I told these kiddos to do the CEO pose. I had to laugh because they can't
do it 100% HAHAHA It's soooo cute! They're lovely kids! I thought it was challenging but these boys
are not hard to please!

Another beautiful night with my husband. Can't ask for more... He's very supportive!
THANK YOU BAH BAH!!! xxx

RAW vs JPEG

I've seen a lot of arguments about Raw or Jpeg. I used to shoot jpeg & doesn't even like
to argue about it. To me, it's about personal taste. But can I see the difference? Of course!
To be honest, I am not sure how jpeg shooters edit their jpeg images. I have my own recipes.
I know I can pull up a good photo even if it's jpeg. But the reason why I started shooting
raw is because I can control the exposure a little bit. Unlike jpeg, once it's done, it's done.
I can still make the jpeg a little bit brighter but raw have better control. I'm not sure about
the color tone. So here's my biggest concern. The image on the left is raw but I open it with
preview. Then the one that's in the middle is raw and I opened it using the lightroom, then
the image on the right is a jpeg also opened with preview. You can really tell the difference
and I'm like Hey lightroom is cheatin on me! Even the CS5! grrr!

So what i did, i opened the jpeg & Raw with CS5 and when I opened the raw
image, I copied the Jpeg tone through the Jpeg image with preview. So this is the result
of the image. There's still a massive difference. Mia's hair (jpeg version) is dark and
the raw version is a little brighter and the pink tone is brighter. This is exactly how I edited them.
The CS5 raw opener, I changed the camera calibrator to neutral instead of adobe standard.
Then I enabled the lens correction then changed blacks to zero! So I hope someone can
help me & give me a better answer. I've been frustrated about it. I was just hiding it but
since after hearing what John Maxwell's 5 personal growth list & one of them was
*ASK QUESTIONS* I decided to spill the milk. Hopefully I'll get an answer to my long time
question.

So here's the edited version.

JPEG VERSION- same layer set up.

RAW VERSION - same layer set up.

Thankful

Wow, I can't believe I'm writing a blog at 3:22 am in the morning. My sleeping habit is really
BAD! Especially when I'm so eager to learn something. I'm still not improving when it comes to
healthy habit (sad face) But moving on, I wanted to share to you my daily habit. I called it thankful
it's simply because I am really thankful. Life is awesome especially because I know I can rely on God.
He's been so good even in my bad days. I can't stop myself from being too expressive!

I'm not saying my life has never been ugly but when I think of the goodness of God, It makes me wanna scream and say "GOD THANK YOU!"

This is my favorite home. Right there, that desk lol That's where I work & learn everyday none stop!
I can be too abusive about learning but I have to! When I want to learn something, it will be over night! I want it, I NEED IT!

HELLO bloggers! I'm doing my best to keep writing blogs & keep you updated! So
today, since I can't get out.. I decided to photograph my flat... About the mess? Ah forget
about it haha It's all because of my husband! He hates them pillows! He throws them
every where! It's either you'll see them poor pillows on the floor or they're just all over
the place! I guess I'm gonna re-arrange them for the rest of my life! hahaha

I'm really enjoying my very first full
frame DSLR! I love how easy it is to photoshop my photographs! It makes sense! It saved me
hours & hours to edit! And today, I learned new editing techniques (all by myself) No youtube!
No googeling! ^_^

I love shooting raw! It has so much control but man, it's swallowing my memory card haha
