Personal goodies

Today, I've decided to do a half media fast. It might sound funny but i have to keep my 

photography blog alive. The only thing I won't do is browse on someone's picture on facebook, chit 

chat or get on facebook 100 times like I usually do. Geez. Facebook is really addicting. Well it's only

because I have a lot of friends abroad. I love connecting with them and i love sharing what I'm feeling.

Ehem... status. But this fast we're doing is really awesome. It's really helping me. Instagram.. oh my!

Another app that I'm sooo addicted. I even want to eat it. haha I'm exaggerating. I love sharing all my 

things there. And I love connecting with my church mates there too. I'm curious about other's story as 

well. Ah not good anymore! That's why... WOW, I haven't visit instragram in like 11 days? hahahah

I'm writing this because I wanted to be honest with you readers. I know I've announced about my 

fast. But I apologize if someone got offended. It's not because I wanted to break it. I know it's all about

sacrifices. And I really thought about this and still wanted to apologies especially to my fb readers. 

I know this is  a personal blog but I wanted to stay connected with you!  Yes you! ANYWAYS!

UGH! it seems like it's been a while! I'd like to share couple of things that I use. Stuff that I love! 

This perfume is really my number one favorite. I fancy body shop a lot. Their service is also awesome!

I love it when they have sale. This is supposed to be $25 but i got for sale online! oh how i heart thou 

CYBER MONDAY!!! 

These bad girls are really awesome! And i got 50% off! Plus another 10% off because I have a
membership card! SOOOOOOooooo worth buying it! My sister recommended these girls because she's
an expert make up guru hahah She loves make up! And she said that shimmering sparkling shiny faces
are asian's favorite. I laughed but I'm willing to try it. But recently, I got too lazy about make ups. My
interest faded. It's simply cause my husband loves my natural skin. I only put make up when there's
a special occasion. I love make up of course! But I just had to tone it down. I heart dark eye shadows.

I'm sooooo in love with love spell. I guess that's why the named it love spell?

Eeeek.. quiet scary. But I just love the smell of it. My friend recommended it to me. Victoria Secret

has amazing goodies. And the fact that i thought i lost my gift cards from my bridal shower, for some 

reason, it was in my purse! haaaaahhh Shandaaah! 

Bath and body works has a lot of fragrance but this sweet on paris is the one that i can purchase over
and over and over. But too bad, i believe they're getting rid of them. I got this one for sale. Of course
I used my bridal shower gift cards and yes i spent it all! I had great deals. Oh wait.. i still have $4 left.
Ah i should have got me another one of this. I just actually realized lately that they're getting rid of this
particular product. Bath & body works can't stick sit still. They had to do something to make people
love their product. Perhaps, I'm one of the few ones that like this product? Same thing with my
favorite body wash, Dark Kiss. BOO...... :( made me sad when i got there and one of the cashier said
they already got rid of them! COME ON! I showed them my sad puppy face.

Guess what, Bare Minerals cleaning products are awesome! I had this for a year now and still kickin.
They're pricey! Thank God nathan's mum bought these stuff for me. She bought me a lot of bare
make ups! I love them! She got it for me last Nov. 2011 in seattle but hey, i still have them!

First flash photography

My first flash experience. I love natural light photography but recently, this flash photography became

so interesting. I played with it after my session with my cop friends. They're getting married and I had 

to shoot them for their save the date cards. I was so nervous because I really had no idea how to start. 

My friend Lorenzo, another awesome photographer that I know lend me his soft box and some studio 

goodies. He taught me how to set it up and my cam'ra for 15 min. I have so many questions but we 

didn't have enough time because he has to leave and i had to leave also to prepare for my photoshoot.

My cop friends sent me a picture sample that they really want to do. When I looked at it, I thought I

needed time. But I decided with faith that I'm gonna shoot them no matter what. Basically I did say 

yes a bottle with courage. I was shaking and really nervous while i was shooting. I was nervous 

because it's my first time playing the studio goodies with triggers and such... ah! it was intense but the 

only was, I wasn't showing it. Well, I'm actually not sure if it was obvious or not. Maybe i should ask 

them? Eeek.. but while taking photos, I've been telling them I can pull it up especially in photoshop. 

They're really asking a lot of questions which is normal. I love it when people ask questions because 

it's teaching me how to handle it well. I'm really glad we had so much fun that night. My husband was

very supportive even though he was so tired after working all day. I will post the picture of the save 

the date card. Right now, they requested not to post it yet. I'm actually excited to show it soon!

My friend called and was asking if he can have his goodies back. So while waiting for him to come 

pick it up, I tested it out again since I haven't done self portrait in a while. So here's the result of my

little self trial. I was actually amazed. 

That night, I asked my cop friend if i can have an extra photo of her. This image is actually not part of

our session. I just really requested it so that I can post it here and show more of my flash experience. It 

was actually fun but then was also a little frustrated because I had to move the soft box to have a good 

angle. But all in all, it was a great session! Well I hope you had a happy clappy reading time.

BYE 2012, HELLO 2013

2012 has been amazing! I thank God for everything! Here's our 2012 chapter. 

After my husband proposed, I planned our wedding last year January 2012. After few weeks, we've 

finalized the date and we sent out our save the date cards!

When my husband got his first job!

we finally got our very first apartment but I was the first one that moved in. 

I was in medication. I had my very first respiratory infection but that didn't stop me from supporting

my soon to be husband that day. He finally graduated at teacher's college columbia university.

The first time he cooked biscuits and gravy for me as a married couple...

I got my very first Full frame DSLR cam'ra! 

Before Sandy

When hurricane sandy wiped out ALL the blessings we've got. 

1 month after hurricane sandy, we found a new home... when blessings over flowed! When hurricane

"HOPE" came in. 

When I get to host my very first Christmas eve with my family & my husband!!! 

I got my very first bamboo pen! My husband's Christmas gift for me!

The first time I cooked lunch in our apartment haha because we didn't have a stove for few weeks 

when we moved in. This was few hours before our all night prayer and new year's eve celebration.

So yummy eggs, rice, sweet sausages with banana leaf! 

I taught him how to eat lunch in filipino style! KAMAYAN! (no fork & spoon, by hands only)

He got it right! 

We celebrated our First New year's eve at church as a married couple!

And this is how we welcomed 2013 and ended 2012! My husband prepared Biscuits & Gravy AND...

BACON!!!

While he was cooking, I prepared the table.

I put LOTS & LOTS of coffee mate! mmm... and whipped cream!!! Oh SHANDAYUMNOM!

He led us in prayer but I had to take a quick snap! hahaha Sorry LORD! 

mmmmm... So good!!!!! 

Of course our favorite mango juice was in the house!

YES WE ATE WITH OUR COSTUMES ON! I hope you had a blessed new year too! I can't express 

the JOY I had in my heart after all the ups and downs! But God has been so GOOD! Our blessed 2012

was such an amazing chapter! We are more than thankful first of all to God who's been our great 

AWESOME provider! And to all the people that's been involved since after sandy! WE love you!!! We 

know GOD will bless you back! WE BLESS YOU WITH MANY MANY BLESSINGS! We don't 

know our next chapter but I believe in this scripture - JEREMIAH 29:11. We believe that God is in 

control no matter what and this new journey we're about to face has nothing against us! We believe that
we're going to travel around the world! There's nothing God cannot do!
