EVITA & SANNY SNEAKPEAKABOO

Oh hello there! Ahh what a fun day i had with these awesome lovers! My session today with Evita and Sanny was a lot of fun and a lot of laughing! I couldn't sleep the other night because of so much excitements! And I cannot wait to photograph their wedding as well. These two are great friends of mine and they're cool cops in jersey city! I asked them them 4 hours before their wedding to wear their uniform just to create a story of who they really are. I know some people said that if someone is a cop and out of duty, they're not allowed to wear uniforms but I believe in this session, my purpose was different. I wanna be able to tell the world what they really do in real life. This image is for personal use only. Even though my plan was rushed, it worked very well. I guess that's my personality. When my mind speaks and have ideas, I have to make it happen.

So for our first location, we went to exchange place and even it was a little cold.. Evita was able to act and handle the coldness very well. These two knows what's up. At first, when i was on the phone with Evita, she mentioned that she's a little nervous because they have no clue what to do in terms of posing and such. But I told her I got them covered and i will make sure the session will be very easy for them. The couple requested not to post all the images yet because they wanted to show it on their BIG day! Of course they have the right to request but they allowed me to post this sneakpeakaboo blog.

Bride to be and soon to be Mrs. Evita is such an awesome mum to her son Evan. I told her that I will be the first person that will jump and scream my voice out once she gets to the altar even though I will be their photographer. I waited to see this happen! Sanny took his time before he proposed to her. And him himself didn't expect that he will make a huge decision. That's after he accepted Jesus Christ as His personal savior. He got baptized and few weeks after, he finally proposed after their long relationship. It was a very emotional chapter. Evita's dream finally started. And when she gets to the altar, she will finally face the dream she waited for a very long time. I myself didn't just enjoy the chapter of their lives. I get to witness the goodness of God in their lives. It finally became a testimony.

To Evita and Sanny.. Thank you for letting me photograph your special day. Congratulations to you both!

SHAMIA & ELLIOT

It's been 3 years since these photographs I took and I can't believe I locked it up for so long. I know I've posted these images on my Facebook and I can't remember if i posted it here on my blog. (shame on me) But when I was continuing organizing my old external hard drive, I found them good pictures! I miss my nikon. Yea there's some floss the focusing and angles here and there but that's how i learned. But I am not writing a blog to critic my work. I was actually blown away and appreciates my old photographs. My clients requested a vintage look so I decided to mix their style and my style. Shamia is also a photographer and now a blogger inspiring the women. Elliot is a journalist in manhattan. Of course these couple made it to the altar. They got married and i was also their photographer and i am on my way to find their wedding pictures... again (shame on me) Oh yes they received their pictures but I just didn't get a chance to blog it because I wasn't a very organize person when it comes to pictures.

I also want to give a shout out to my loving husband who helped me out to make this engagement session happened. He was my awesome assistant and he also contributed on this session by sharing more ideas. Love you bah bah - I put that as his signature. (giggle)

We did the photoshoot at Elliot parent's house. I love Pennsylvania! They have so many beautiful places.

We obviously didn't plan the rain. The nature contributed very well and I asked my client if they have no problem if I shot them in the rain.

Shamia was really reading an old letter. I enjoyed all the old letters and old envelopes Elliot's mum showed us and of course she let us use it for our photo shoot.

GOOD OLD PORTRAITS

I cannot believe how long it took before I posted these images. It's been two years already! If it's not because of what i learned recently on how to organize my external hard drive, I will probably not find these amazing portraits i took. And guess what? I used to shoot JPEG yes! These images are JPEG straight! And I used my Nikon d5000 and my lens was nikkor 50mm 1.8 - ummm the old 50mm version. And today while i was organizing my files, i realized these aren't just the images i have that's been locked up in my hard drive. Unbelievable!

So I wanted to share to you my adopted little sister, her name is brooklynn and here's some of her portraits and the location was at upstate new york and I cannot describe how pretty it was over there! And this location was like few steps away from the house my husband's grandpa rented. We're all there having fun and i asked brooklynn if she can dress up for a quick session.

And of course I asked her little brother Shiloh to hop in hahaha so cute!
